LaRoca Premier U-15 Girls Win it Big in Phoenix!

Congratulations to the LaRoca U-15 girls for winning the 30th annual President's Day Tournament in Phoenix, AZ. The team defeated SC Del Sol 94 girls 2-0 in the championship game on February 16. Coached by Tim Crompton and Jim Gochis, the team was a finalist at the President's Day Tournament in 2008 and returned to claim the championship in 2009. They finished the tournament with an overall record of 5-1, defeating Rio Vista FC Venom (New Mexico), Boulder County Force Red (Colorado), Gilbert SC Arsenal (Arizona) in pool play and Placer United Prestige (Cal-North) in the semi-final. This is the second out-of-state victory for the team in the 2008-2009 year, with a championship at the Pikes Peak Tournament in July.
