What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas
Except for Tournament Soccer Titles

The Utah Avalanche Premier KV 96 squad brought the 2009 Vegas Cup crystal trophy back to the Beehive State after defeating Washington Premier 95 2-0 in the Jan. 19 tournament final.

After advancing from pool play, Avalanche defeated Las Vegas Premier 96 — the Nevada state champs — in the semi-finals before claiming the top prize in the championship match. The girls have represented Utah well in recent months, reaching the semis in the San Diego Surf Thanksgiving Tournament and the Sereno Pro Classic.

The team is coached by Kevin VanderVeur, who was joined on the bench in Vegas by Alyssa VanderVeur, a BYU striker and a UYSA alum.
